The Beach House is situated right on the beach front and is comfortably furnished with emphasis on making your stay as pleasant as possible. There are great sea views from the main bedroom, the living and dining area, as well as from the garden. The other two bedrooms look out on native bush. The sleeping accommodation consists of the main bedroom with a queen size bed, and two other bedrooms each with two single beds.
It is self-contained – apart from some basic provisions in the pantry cupboard. There are several places to snack or dine in Penneshaw and Kingscote or you can buy local produce from the different providers on the Island. The closest store is located at Penneshaw.
There is an old rowboat available to you for paddling about in or trying your hand at fishing in the bay. The Beach House has a slow combustion heater, reverse cycle airconditioning, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, TV, DVD and Video.
Outside there is a gas fired barbeque with an eating area overlooking the bay. And if you check that there is water in the bowl provided, you will observe a dozen or more different species of native birds calling in for a drink while you are there. Fairy Penguins sometimes come ashore in the evening and nest in the rocks and underbrush and are a delight to have on our doorstep, despite being a bit noisy!
