By plane and hire car
You can choose to fly to Kangaroo Island. Flying time is approximately 20 minutes from Adelaide Airport. Flights are also now available from Melbourne. The Island’s only airport is a few kms out of Kingscote (the biggest town on the island) and you can pick up a hire car from the airport if you have booked this first. Take care driving on the Island – not all roads are sealed and those roads can be dangerous if attempted at speed.
